How can we help?

Email [email protected] and a real person will get back to you as soon as we can. If it's about a person or a listing, include their first name or the listing's title so we can find it quickly.

Report or block someone

To report a listing, open it and tap Report this listing near the bottom.

To report or block a person, open their profile and tap Report or Block. Blocking takes a second tap to confirm.

Reports are private, and a person on our team reviews each one. When you block someone, they aren't told, you can no longer see each other's profiles, places or posts, and neither of you can message the other. You can undo a block under Profile, Blocked people.

Safety tips

  • Never pay before you've seen the place, in person or on a live video tour. No deposits, no "holding fees".
  • Watch for pressure. "Lots of people want it, send the deposit today" is a classic line.
  • Be wary of unusual payment. Wire transfers, gift cards and crypto are hard to get back and common in scams.
  • Be wary of "I'm abroad" stories. A host who can't show you the place and wants to mail you the keys is almost always a scam.
  • Meet in public the first time you meet a possible roommate, or do a video call first.
  • Keep the conversation in Baybreak until you've met. It helps us help you if something goes wrong.
  • Look them up. Check the social accounts on their profile. That's what they're there for.

If you were scammed

  1. Report it in the app from the person's profile or the listing, so we can stop them reaching anyone else.
  2. Email us at [email protected] with what happened, any payment details and screenshots.
  3. Call your bank or payment app right away. The sooner you ask, the better the chance of stopping or reversing a payment.
  4. Report it to the authorities at reportfraud.ftc.gov and the FBI's ic3.gov.

Change your notifications

In the app, go to Profile, Notifications to choose which phone notifications you get: messages, approvals, matches and more. To turn them all off, use your phone's settings.

To stop saved-search emails, turn them off in the search itself, or use the link at the bottom of any alert email.

Delete your account

Go to Profile and tap Delete account, then tap again to confirm. You can also email us. Everything about deleting your account.
